Week 2 Sport Top Stashbuster
It's difficult to find inexpensive AA cup bras, so I gave up a long time ago. This sport-bra style of support is what I wear almost exclusively. I can usually find ones that fit in the kids section at WM for under $8.
But last month I found a 2-yard lycra-ish remnant for $2.00. I love the color and don't care about the 'platinum' screen-printing on it. I thought I'd attempt to make my own sport bra. And succeeded! The one pictured above is actually the second version. Will tweak a little more on the next one.
I used one of my juniors section garments as a template to make a paper pattern.
The first version is shown here. I lined only the front half and used a twin needle to hem. But as with last week's pants, I was disappointed with the resulting seam. So I made another fully lined with all-serged seams.
